In my works fine paper thin leaves of glaze material are assembled to form layered objects.

Amy kennedy ceramics. Working with delicacy and movement i use the flowing layers like the opening pages of a book or fluttering piles of fabric to create a windblown or whirlpool effect. Across all facets of nature many structures capture my attention. Her work is guided by a deep interest in the aesthetics of materiality process and transformation. Throughout her career kennedy has actively pursued new experiences in far flung areas of the world.

Amy graduated with a bachelor of arts fine art honours from rmit university in 2006 having previously completed a diploma of ceramics at box hill institute of tafe. Works inspired by the wonder of natural forms and the processes of ceramics.
